About the Journal

Genomica represents a bilingual scientific journal that undergoes a rigorous peer-review process, concentrating on diverse subjects within the realms of genetics and genomics. Genomica also focus on publishing in English for broader international reach but also is accepting manuscripts in Romanian to support and disseminate research in the local language.

The editors of Genomica aspire, through the content of this journal, to disseminate valuable scientific information originating from the fields of genetics and genomics in Romania and on the international stage. The journal encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including, but not limited to, Plant Genetics and Genomics, Microbial Genetics and Genomics, Population Genetics and Genomics, Human Genetics, Human Genome, Forensic Genetics, Medical Genetics and Genomics, Epigenomics, Metagenomics, and more.

In adherence to the fundamental principles of established scientific journals, Genomica employs a peer-review selection system to shape its content. This involves the evaluation of abstracts or scientific papers by qualified individuals—specialists in the same or related fields—to determine their suitability for publication in a scientific journal or presentation at an academic conference.

Initially, the editors propose the release of a single volume and 1-2 issues per year, with articles being published gradually as they are submitted for publication.

Genomica operates on a free-access model; there are no author processing fees or charges for publishing or accessing published papers. Authors do not receive financial compensation for their contributions.
